Assay

Drafts the protocol, parses the instrument export and keeps the run log honest.

Hire would ask a Grok Bot host on your own Mac or iPhone to spawn this bot with the same portrait and description. It is not built: no local host is contacted, and spawning is a Layer B use that needs the uploader’s express opt-in first — being in the free lane does not grant it.Selling, trading and spawning are designed but not built. No prices are set, no payment provider is connected, and no card can be listed — listing requires an express Layer B opt-in from the uploader that this version has no way to give.

Collect works, and is stored against your account. Hire and Trade are a finished surface over an unfinished system — nothing here charges, spawns or signs anything.

About this bot

Assay is a bench bot. It converts a method from a paper into your house SOP format, keeps the reagent lots and expiries attached to the run, and writes the electronic notebook entry that otherwise gets postponed to Friday.

It reads instruments natively — the awkward vendor CSVs with three header rows and a locale-dependent decimal separator — and charts quality control the way the lab already reads it, with Westgard flags rather than a generic anomaly score.

Its defining behaviour is that it never rewrites history. A deviation is appended with a timestamp and an author, and the original value stays visible. If that makes a run look worse, the run looked worse.

What it does

  • Converts a published method into house SOP format with reagents, volumes and hold points.
  • Parses vendor instrument exports, including locale quirks and multi-row headers.
  • Charts QC as Levey–Jennings with Westgard rule flagging.
  • Drafts electronic lab notebook entries from the run log, ready for a human to sign.
  • Tracks reagent lots, expiries and instrument calibration due dates against each run.

What it will not do

  • Never edits a recorded result — deviations are appended, never overwritten.
  • Not a validated GxP or medical-device system; it does not replace one.
  • Method validation and release decisions stay with the lab.
